Becky Bloomwood gives financial advice on Morning Coffee, a British talk show, and is dating Luke Brandon who is the head of Brandon Communications. Her life is perfect and she loves every moment of it. Then one day she finds out she’s going to be moving to Manhattan with Luke who is opening a new branch in New York. Becky absolutely loves the glam and sparkle of the city (and the shopping of course!) and is overly excited to move there. Her feelings change after a major shopping spree and article is published about Becky’s outstanding debts. This article shoots down all hopes of Becky’s job interviews as a financial advisor on a New York television station. On top of shooting down all hopes of a New York job, this article also ruins various other things for Becky. Becky has to find a way to get her job, boyfriend, and money back.

Shopaholic Takes Manhattan is book number two of the “Shopaholic” series with many more to follow. It is a wonderful book full of excitement and love that will keep you wanting to read more and more. At first the book is a little slow but it gets better and better as the story goes on.

I would recommend this book to anybody who loves shopping and a good read. I would also recommend this book to anyone who has read the first Shopaholic book. Shopaholic Takes Manhattan is a wonderful book that will keep you wanting to read on and on to see how Becky figures out her problems.
