Even after months in Malibu, Jason is still having trouble excepting the fact that most his friends are vampires. He puts in all his effort to make it work, and it does for a while until all he’s worked for seems to come tumbling down because his best friend shows up at his house from Michigan one day. At first it’s great; Jason missed his old friend, but after time, Jason knows something’s wrong. Tyler just isn’t the type of guy who would just randomly show up at his best friends house without clothes or any other personal belongings. Day by day, things start to fall into place, things that explain Tyler’s odd behavior. However, when Tyler makes a huge and very involved mistake, Jason is stuck in the situation with two choices: let Tyler get killed or risk a chance of being killed himself in attempt to save the life of his life long friend.

Vampire Beach: Initiation is book two of Duval’s thrilling series. In this second book, Duval continues to do a great job in painting the scene’s picture in the reader’s mind and leaving the reader hungry for more. The text in the book keeps the pages turning until before you realize your done.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has a taste for a well written and exciting book that will tug at your emotions. Vampire Beach: Initiation is a mix between mystery, action, and fantasy, so it can satisfy any urge for just about any reader.
